Earlier this season, we covered claims from Belgium that Southampton would ‘prepare an offer’ to sign Anderlecht’s Yari Verschaeren in the winter market.

On November 11th, Het Laatste Nieuws reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers sent a scout to Belgium and suggested the attacking midfielder has caught Wolves’ attention.

Calciomercato brings the latest update about the Belgium international and they once again relay the player has suitors in the Premier League.

In a short report, the Italian website explains Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are now joined by Aston Villa and Leicester City in chasing the teenager. It’s claimed these three clubs ‘like’ him.

Verschaeren is currently sidelined with an ankle injury and is expected to be out of action for two months. Despite that, he is on the radar of Wolves, Villa and the Foxes.

He primarily operates as an attacking midfielder, but can play either on the right or left wing. Verschaeren signed a new contract with Anderlecht in March and his current deal expires in 2022.

Calciomercato’s report only state Leicester, Aston Villa and Wolves ‘like’ Verschaeren and there’s no further information.
