Wahid Faghir’s impressive displays for the youth side of Denmark’s Vejle Boldklub have drawn attention from clubs across Europe.
The young centre-forward scored 16 goals for the U17s last season before managing five for the U19 side this term.
Danish newspaper BT claims Leicester City and Ajax are the ‘most eager enthusiasts’ for the 16-year-old.
It’s claimed there are clubs from the Premier League and La Liga looking at Faghir, while it’s the Foxes and the Dutch champions who are at the ‘front of the queue’. Apart from Brendan Rodgers’ side and Ajax, the report doesn’t name any of the other clubs.
Faghir recently signed a three-year deal with Vejle Boldklub, but according to the report, the Danish side could sell him within a year.
BT also suggests those in Vejle Boldklub’s circles are comparing the young attacker to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The comparison is made with the Swede because Faghir is physically strong and a ‘highly technically gifted attacker’, who has the ability to score goals.
