With Bordeaux’s change of ownership came a change of staff, yet one promised club chief continues to elude the Ligue 1 side: Leicester City’s Eduardo Macia.
The Foxes’ head of scouting has been reportedly close to a switch to the French club to become their new director of football a few times now, but, so far, he remains at King Power Stadium.
This, however, could change in the summer, as RMC Sport journalist Nicolas Paolorsi explained on one of their radio shows, Team Duga, on Tuesday that Eduardo Macia could finally move to France in the summer.
Relayed by Girondins4Ever, he stated the Spaniard is ‘gravitating’ around Bordeaux, but was kept by Leicester City for the January transfer window.
He said: “It’s true that we expected Macia to come to Bordeaux quickly. He did the recruiting with Claude Puel. He could come this summer, but he’s already working on a few deals.”
One of those, according to the usually well informed Twitter account Girondinfos, was Josh Maja, who swapped Sunderland for the south of France in January for a reported fee of around €4m, bonuses included.
