Leicester City are willing to offer €30m plus Dennis Praet in an attempt to sign defender Per Schuurs from Torino this summer.
That’s according to Inter Live, who say the Foxes are very much in the race for the centre-back and ready to give Praet back to his former loan club to get him.
They cover Schuurs today thanks to interest in him from Inter Milan, who are on the hunt for a replacement for Milan Skriniar as he is set to join PSG in the summer.
Stefan de Vrij could also be on his way out of the club as his contract is also expiring and so at least one new centre-back will be needed in the summer.
Torino star Schuurs is one of the names on their list and they have been thinking about a move for him for a while but there is a concern that they may be ‘already too late’ in the race.
That’s because the Premier League, namely Leicester, are ‘in the background’ for the player and ready to make their move to secure his signature.
The Dutchman is ‘very much liked’ in England and at the King Power Stadium, where Leicester are believed to be ‘ready to bite’ and get him ahead of the competition.
They are ‘already ready’ to offer €30m plus Dennis Praet for the defender, knowing that Torino manager Ivan Juric has a ‘footballing weakness’ for the midfielder after he had him on loan in Italy last season.
They want to exploit that and use him in a potential deal for Schuurs by offering the ‘beauty’ of a €30m bid plus the player, neither of which Inter can compete with at this point.
