Club Brugge forward Noa Lang has started a ‘farewell tour’ with interest from West Ham United and Leeds United well established.
That’s according Voetbal Nieuws, who cover the player today and his impressive display in the loss to Benfica this week.
While the Belgian side were unimpressive in that game, Lang still managed to stand out, putting in a ‘fantastic’ display against the Portuguese side.
Because of that, La Dernière Heure write that he will be missed in the Jupiler Pro League next season, with foreign interest in Lang having been present for a while.
That interest will ‘undoubtedly’ increase and become more concrete in the coming months and both Leeds and West Ham have been linked since the end of last year.
For example, both clubs were linked with the player in the middle of November and that was followed by claims it was ‘no secret’ that Lang would like to join Leeds or West Ham if given the chance.
Voetbal Nieuws follow that up by naming the pair in the suitors today and stating that Lang ‘knew full well’ that he was under the microscope in the clash with Benfica and ‘clearly showed his best side’ as a result.
That performance was seen as the start of his ‘farewell tour’, with Lang clearly getting back to his best and now showing an ‘exemplary mentality’ to boot.
That was backed up by some of the numbers in the game as he boasted the most dribbles and most duels of all the players involved.
That will ‘surely not have escaped’ the interested clubs and the feeling is that a potential transfer will ‘captivate’ the next Belgian summer window.
Whether Leeds or West Ham are involved remains to be seen.
