Leeds United have joined Watford in showing an interest in AC Milan’s Fodé Ballo-Touré as he looks set to leave the Italian side this summer.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the Championship sides have made moves despite the player’s disappointing loan spell at Fulham last season.
FM explain that Milan are pushing the player towards the exit and the 27-year-old full-back has plenty of options on the table in front of him.
Besiktas are currently out in front as they’ve reached an agreement with Milan for a transfer to happen, but Ballo-Touré isn’t keen on a switch to the Super Lig and would prefer to look at other options.
Several English and Spanish clubs have now expressed an interest and according to FM’s information, Watford and Leeds are ‘closely monitoring the matter’. Sevilla and Celta Vigo are the Spanish sides showing an interest.
Watford’s desire is nothing new as several reports over the last few weeks have credited them with an interest and the last, at the end of last month, even stated they’d made a bid.
Leeds are new suitors but given that Junior Firpo has been linked with a move to Real Betis, perhaps Ballo-Touré is being eyed as a replacement.
It’s a situation to keep an eye on, with neither side pressing as yet according to FM but their interest expressed, nonetheless.
