Three days ago, journalist Alfredo Pedullà stated Inter Milan are dreaming about bringing Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto back to the club in the summer window. He also said a potential move for the forward would depend on Joaquin Correa’s exit.
Spazio Inter now state the Serie A side are more inclined to parting ways with Correa after a mixed debut season at the San Siro. Valencia and Sevilla have asked about him but these tracks are not yet concrete.
It’s claimed the 19-year-old’s agent was at the Serie A side’s headquarters yesterday to have a meeting with Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta and their sporting director, Piero Ausilio.
Spazio Inter are of the belief the representative, ‘in all likelihood’, talked about the possibility of the Italy U21 international returning to the San Siro. They add Daniel Farke’s side are ready to allow Gnonto to leave on loan with an option to buy.
To ‘unlock the negotiation’ to sign the Leeds youngster, Inter will have to first get rid of Correa.
