Following all the claims on Tuesday saying Chelsea are closing in on an agreement with Leeds United for Raphinha, Goal Brasil joined the bandwagon and also stated the Blues placed an offer worth £55m for the player.

It turns out that, according to their report, the Whites aren’t accepting it outright because they’re expecting someone else to come for the winger. And that’s Arsenal.

According to the story, Leeds ‘wait for a new move’ from the Gunners, as the Elland Road side believe they could ‘benefit from a dispute’ between the two London rivals.

Happy for an auction situation over Raphinha, the Whites are happy to accept the biggest offer that shows up on the table.

Besides Chelsea and Arsenal, there’s a third London side who have been interested in Raphinha, Tottenham Hotspur. However, Antonio Conte’s did not submit an offer and are said to instead be ‘focused’ on signing Richarlison.

Goal Brasil also talks about Barcelona interest, claiming the Catalan side have ‘no condition’ which allows them to join the fight.

So it seems it all comes down to whether Arsenal can hijack this potential deal with Chelsea.
