Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio now shares an interesting turnaround in the negotiations between Leeds United and Juventus for the transfer of Weston McKennie.

With the clubs engaging in intense talks in the past few days, the reporter had already claimed that the Whites started moving with an offer worth €28m, having then increased it to €30m plus bonuses.

It turns out that in a new update, Di Marzio now claims that Leeds and Juventus have changed the formula, as they started to evaluate the possibility of a loan with an option to buy.

It’s said the Whites are ‘confident but not yet sure’ the talks will be successful, since Juventus are still to accept that offer.

The interesting thing here is that the price remains the same, at €30m. So we wonder what may convince the Old Lady to accept that kind of deal instead of the outright sale.

In any case, Di Marzio claims that there should be more news ‘in the next few hours’, as the clubs try to ‘unlock’ the business and ‘quickly close’ this transfer.
