Leeds United have been handed another boost in their pursuit of NEC attacker Anthony Limbombe following reports the 22-year-old isn’t keen on a move to Toulouse. Earlier today there were claims in the British media that the Ligue 1 side were closing in on the player.
Belgian newspaper AD have revealed today Limbombe doesn’t want to move to Toulouse despite the French club being willing to meet his valuation.
Toulouse in the past few week have joined the race to sign the Belgian forward and, even though Limbombe is keen to leave NEC this summer, a move to France isn’t something which appeals to him.
This will come as a blow to NEC as the Dutch side were keen to sell Limbombe to Toulouse as they were willing to meet his valuation. NEC have already turned down an €1.7m offer from Club Brugge because this is below the €3m they want for the youngster.
Leeds United are likely to be monitoring these latest developments, and may still be hopeful of landing the youngster.
His agent has already confirmed to Sport Witness a move to England is a possibility for his client this summer, and his future could be decided soon.
