Ternana forward Felipe Avenatti has told the Italian media he hasn’t heard anything about extending his contract with the Serie B side. The 23-year old’s contract expires next year, and the player was linked with a move to Leeds United in the last transfer window.
Speaking to Ternana News, Avenatti was asked about his contract situation with Ternana, and whether he’s entered into renewal talks. The Uruguayan revealed yet he’s not had any dealings with the club about extending his contract, and for now he will just wait to see what happens.
Avenatti went on to say for the moment he’ll just concentrate on his game, and not think about his contract: “I have not yet heard from anyone. Let’s see. Now, though, the only thing I think about is the next game.”
Leeds United have been linked with Avenatti for the past 12 months, and during the last window there were claims in Italy the Championship side had approached Ternana with regards to the player.
It was also reported Serie A sides were monitoring the player, and until he renews his contract with Ternana speculation is unlikely to go away with regards to him leaving the Umbrian side.
