The Swedish national team have put together a video of their version of the ‘Mannequin Challenge’ which includes Leeds United defender Pontus Jannson taking part. Jansson is currently away with his country as they prepare for their game with Hungary tomorrow night.
Former Sunderland attacker Nils Ola Toivonen has posted on his Instagram account the Sweden team carrying out the ‘Mannequin Challenge” which sees Jansson taking a kick to his head from one of his national teammates, with another player about to drop a case on him.
In another part of the dressing room iIsaac Kiese Thelin takes a selfie with former Manchester City forward John Guidetti whilst many players just watch on. Even Sweden coach Janne Andersson and his coaching staff got involved with the other members of the squad.
Jansson will be hoping he gets a chance to play tomorrow night when Sweden take on Hungary in Budapest. The Leeds United defender only came on in 87th during the defeat to France last Friday, and with the game with Hungary only a friendly the 25-year-old should get more playing time.
It’s Jansson is well settled with the Sweden squad, with him being the centre of the video’s ‘banter’, but he’d surely like to be just as involved on the pitch. He’ll just hope he doesn’t freeze… bum, bum, tish.
