Kiko Casilla has been speaking to the Spanish media again.

The goalkeeper has been in high demand in his home country since making the move to Leeds United.

That’s partly because there’s a lot of good feeling towards the former Real Madrid player, and that he can share his opinion on the club and whatever is happening at the moment, but it’s mainly down to Marcelo Bielsa.

Everyone wants a piece of the Leeds United boss, whether directly or indirectly. The recent ‘spying’ issues have only served to enhance his reputation outside of England, where it’s just seen as another sign of the manager’s absolute commitment to the game.

And of course it helps that Leeds are top of the Championship and looking good for promotion to the Premier League.

Speaking to Onda Cero, Casillas revealed the first thing Bielsa said to him after the transfer: “He approached me, he greeted me and told me that I was crazy for having gone there.”

There’s also another comment on why he chose the club: “When the option to come to Leeds arrived, they first conveyed the interest to me, they came to see me and then they told me what the project was, what the city was like, and in just a few days I decided to come.”

Casilla was also quizzed on Isco and explained the Spanish international doesn’t have an attitude problem, and gives it his all in training.

Maybe that can lead to ‘The blockbuster signing Leeds United fans can’t only dream about – Casilla backs it’ articles.
