Leeds United have been linked with Zulte Waregem defender Bryan Verboom in the past few days, with claims in the Belgian media the Championship side have put in a bid for the player. With Charlie Taylor rumoured to be heading to the Premier League, Leeds United have been linked with left backs in recent weeks.
HLN journalist Kristof Terreur has reported Leeds United have had a bid turned down by Zutle Waregem for Verboom, but it still seems some Leeds United aren’t happy about the prospect of Taylor leaving the club this summer.
Updating Verboom’s profile on Wikipedia it states the player has been signed by Leeds United to replace youth product Charlie Taylor despite the offer being turned down by the Belgian club It goes on to say Leeds United have sold their first choice left back for the huge sum of £3, A frog and a conker after purchasing the Belgian player.
With Sam Byram and Lewis Cook leaving Leeds United in the past six months, it’s understandable the Elland Road are unhappy about the possibility of Taylor leaving the club.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to WBA in recent weeks, whilst Leeds United have been linked with Verboom and Benfica’s Alexis Scholl as his possible replacement.
However, Leeds United have been successful in landing another defender in the lat 24 hours after signing Luke Ayling from Bristol City.
