Leeds United have ‘shown interest’ in Borussia Dortmund’s Raphaël Guerreiro, according to Fussball Transfers.

The Portugal international, who has over six months left on his deal, has struggled with form and fitness. Therefore, the Bundesliga side are thinking about parting ways with him.

It’s not mentioned whether BVB want to cash in from his sale in January or let him leave for free next summer. Along with Leeds United, Juventus are in the picture to sign the left-back.

Guerreiro’s immediate environment told Ruhr Nachrichten he ‘will leave the club’ after this season. He has starred for Portugal, managing a goal and two assists from three matches, in Qatar. This should be enough for the 28-year-old to draw attention from elsewhere.

The report doesn’t mention which clubs are keeping tabs on the fullback. Their claim is relayed by another report from Fussball Transfers, who explain there are ‘plenty of interested parties’.

Leeds United and Juve are tagged as it’s explained these two sides have ‘recently put out feelers’ to sign the defender.

Junior Firpo is the recognised left-back at Elland Road. In his absence due to injury, Pascal Struijk impressed for the Whites this season and has maintained his place in the starting lineup even after the ex-Real Betis man regained full fitness.
