On Monday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported AC Milan’s Noah Okafor has an agreement in place with Leeds United.
Later that day, Sport Mediaset reported Leeds are pushing to sign the forward for €17m, which was €3m short of the Serie A side’s request. Another report from Gazzetta dello Sport then explained this operation could be finalised in the next few hours.
Calciomercato say there’s a good chance Okafor’s sale to Leeds could be defined within 24-48 hours.
It’s claimed Daniel Farke’s side have approached the €20m fee requested by Milan to let the 25-year-old leave. The two clubs are in constant contact to find total agreement on the figure and the payment structure.
According to Calciomercato, the Switzerland international is waiting to travel to England to complete a move to Elland Road.
He should receive the green light soon as Tuesday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport reports Okafor’s move to Leeds is a ‘done deal’.
The newspaper explains the Premier League newcomers have reached a ‘total agreement’ with the Italian club to sign the attacker for €20m. They add Leeds also have agreed personal terms with the Swiss player.
Okafor is ‘ready to leave’ Milan for Leeds. He should soon travel for medical and to sign the contract with the English club.
Gianluca Di Marzio took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that ‘deal done’ to take Okafor to Leeds for €21m including bonuses.
