UD Las Palmas have been thoroughly unimpressed with Hadi Sacko, and the club’s local media have been reporting for some weeks that the player was set to be sent back to Leeds United.
First there was the important matter of the Championship club finding him a new destination, and La Provincia report Sacko now has two options to choose from.
It’s not very glamorous.
There’s the comparative winter warmth of AEK Larnaca in Cyprus, or MOL Vidi and some real chills in Hungary. A distinct difference.
La Provincia expect the deal to be finalised today, and that will see Las Palmas wash their hands of the player and forget the loan move ever happened.
It’s explained that when Sacko arrived, the whole point of the signing was to use the player’s speed in attack. However, the reality has seen Las Palmas disappointed by the Leeds man’s skill level.
The report says Sacko’s ‘lack of technical quality’ prevented him from being useful for the Spanish second division side.
