Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca has told his ‘closest circle’ that he wants to join Real Betis this summer as he waits for the two sides to finalise a move.

That’s according to Diario de Sevilla, who say Betis ‘want to reinforce’ their midfield with the former Espanyol youth player, having targeted him for ‘several seasons’.

Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League has made a move possible this summer, particularly as he has a clause in his contract that allows him to move on loan to whatever club he likes so long as they pay his wages.

Betis have ‘entered strongly’ for him but want to add a purchase clause for a ‘not exorbitant amount’ of money into the deal.

Roca is keen on the move and have already told his ‘closest circle’ that he really likes the option of joining Manuel Pellegrini’s side next season.

He’s not pushing for it to happen at this moment in time, though, and El Desmarque report that he currently ‘fulfils his obligations with Leeds’ in pre-season.

They explain that the midfielder has not neglected himself during the summer break, posting videos of himself working intensely alone to maintain his conditioning before the season returns.

He’s now returned to pre-season training with the Whites and is training with them, waiting for his potential move to Betis to be finalised.
