Earlier this week we covered claims from Germany that Robin Koch has a clause in his contract which enables him to leave Leeds United this summer on a free transfer.
As the claims said, that’s due to the Whites being relegated from the Premier League. Local reports to Leeds then denied those claims, but given the report had come from Germany it appeared to have originated from someone close to the Koch camp.
There was said to be interest from multiple clubs in multiple countries, all wanting to take advantage of the chance to sign a Germany International on a bargain deal. No clubs were mentioned but Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg now brings Manchester United into the picture.
Yes, you read that right, Manchester United.
According to Plettenberg, Koch is ‘on the shortlist’ for Erik ten Hag’s side and talks have already been held. Those talks are described as being ‘loose’, and it’s not clear whether they were between Manchester United and Leeds, or the Red Devils and the defender’s camp.
Either way it appears someone is eagerly leaking Koch claims to the German media.
