According to a claim in the Swedish media, Leeds United forward Marcus Antonsson is a ‘possible name’ for Hammarby.

The 28 year old is expected to leave Leeds United in this transfer window and has also been linked with a move to Brescia in recent weeks.

Sportbladet report Antonsson could be a target for the Swedish top flight club in this transfer window. Three players have already left Hammarby and subsequently they need to bring in reinforcements this summer.

Antonsson has been linked with a move back to Sweden in recent months with Malmo and his former club Kalmar said to be interested in the forward.

However, it’s unlikely any clubs will be able to match his Leeds United salary, which Sweden’s Fotbol Direkt said is in the region of £65k a month.

The player has reportedly already turned down a move to Brescia this summer as the Serie B side can’t meet his demands.

Last season Antonsson was sent out on loan to Blackburn Rovers.
