Leeds United’s Largie Ramazani had a difficult start when joining Valencia on loan last summer.

The winger suffered an injury in October, forcing him to spend close to two months on the sidelines.

He returned to action in December, but the Leeds United owned player waited until this year to make his first start for Valencia.

Since then, the 25-year-old has been a regular for the La Liga side and even starred for them. Ramazani’s goals for the club came in the last three months.

The Belgian’s league stats this season are as follows:

  • Appearances: 22
  • Starts: 10
  • Total minutes: 1,074
  • Goals: 6
  • Assists: 1
  • Expected Goals: 6.37
  • Expected Assists: 1.91

Leeds United man wants Valencia move

Los Ches haven’t secured a purchase option or an obligation with Leeds United as part of the loan deal.

Last month, Largie Ramazani was coy when asked about his future plans. On Monday, the attacker said he’ll make a decision on his future after this season.

“We’ll do the analysis at the end of the season, and I’m going to continue as I have been. I’m ambitious and I’m going to work until the end of the season,” he said.

Valencia have already expressed their desire to retain him, probably on a fresh loan deal.

El Desmarque reported this on Monday and now point this out again in their fresh report. Towards the end, the outlet also relays former Valencia and Levante goalkeeper Juan Luis Mora’s comments about the Whites man.

Speaking to La Banda on À Punt, the 52-year-old insists the Belgian is keen to extend his stay at Mestalla. He further adds Ramazani will have a big role to play if Valencia have to secure a new deal in the summer.

“From what I know, Ramazani is crazy to stay,” he said.

“In these kinds of transactions, the player has a lot of say. There are players who don’t care if they’re here or there.

“Of course. He’s happy here, he’s happy in the city, he loves the weather, his friend Sadiq is here. That’s why I’m telling you, in these kinds of transactions, the player has a lot of say.”

Our take: Leeds United in control

The Belgian’s contract at Elland Road expires in 2028, and Transfermarkt now value him at €8m. This puts Daniel Farke’s side in a good position for potential negotiations in the summer.

Although Juan Luis Mora suggests Largie Ramazani can push for a transfer, Leeds United will have the final say.
