Juventus goalkeeper Francesco Anacoura is on the verge of signing for Lega Pro side Casertana, according to claims in Italy. The youngster was expected to go out on loan this season, and was linked with a move to either Leeds United or Nottingham Forest.

Sport Casertano have revealed Anacoura is set to move to Casertana for the season despite Prato trying to hijack the deal at the last minute.

A spokesperson for the Italian club has confirmed they have an agreement with Juventus to take Anacoura on loan, and all they are waiting on is a signature from the player.

“With Juventus we have agreement on everything. We also signed the loan. We only need the signature of the player,” said the Italian club.

Last month we covered reports from Italy that Leeds United were showing an interest in Anacoura, along with Championship rivals Nottingham Forest.

With Gianluigi Buffon and Neto ahead of Anacoura in the pecking order at Juventus, the two Championship clubs were looking to take advantage of his situation, and move in for the player.
