For most of the time Nahitan Nandez has been linked with Leeds United, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been presented as something of a back-up option.
The Uruguayan was first said to prefer a move to Inter Milan, and then Tottenham were thought to be more appealing, with Cagliari even confirming that Spurs had been in touch about signing the player.
Now things are a little different, due to issues both on and off the pitch, Nandez’s stock isn’t quite as valuable as it once was, and should Leeds United make an attempt then that would be fortunate for both the player and the Serie A club.
CagliariNews24 report that Torino, who had also been credited with interest, don’t seem to be prepared to pay the €25m Cagliari want, which is down from the €30m+ requested earlier this year.
Leeds, however, have the ‘necessary liquidity’ to do a deal, but they haven’t made an offer yet. Whether they do or not remains to be seen.
