Leeds United forward Helder Costa ‘will definitely leave’ Valencia and return to Elland Road this summer.

That’s according to El Desmarque, who say only an ‘unexpected twist’ would keep the forward at the Mestalla beyond the end of this season.

Costa has been with the Spanish side since the summer when he was shipped out by Leeds after they signed Dan James from Manchester United.

After a rocky start, he had established himself as a regular under Jose Bordalas but has found himself with decreased playing time since January, after Bryan Gil arrived on loan from Tottenham.

The Angolan has had to put up with a bit-part role since then and will ‘definitely leave’ once his loan deal comes to an end.

El Desmarque report that he has not had the necessary continuity at the club to ‘prove his worth’ and thus convince the club into signing him permanently from Leeds.

In fact, since the turn of the year, he’s even found himself being surpassed by youth players such as Yellu, a clear sign of what Valencia and their coach think of him.

Therefore, he’s set to return to Yorkshire, where Leeds will have to decide what to do with him this summer.
