Originally left out of the Denmark squad by Kasper Hjulmand, Leeds United loanee Rasmus Kristensen has since been called up on Friday, as covered by Bold.dk.

The Dane is currently on loan away from Elland Road at AS Roma after he made it clear he wanted a move out, with José Mourinho willing to give him a chance in Italy.

His time away from Leeds hasn’t exactly been sunshines and rainbows to date, either, as he kicked it all off with an own-goal in pre-season.

What followed wasn’t much better, as his first few performances for Roma weren’t particularly impressive, and he was then left out of their Europa League squad due to FFP restrictions and the club already having two other right-backs.

This led to Hjulmand overlooking the Leeds man for his current Denmark squad, but an injury to Alexander Bah has changed things.

Following the 25-year-old’s inability to continue the international break with his country, Hjulmand decided to call up both Victor Kristiansen and Rasmus Kristensen to his squad.

The Leeds loanee will now get a chance at adding to his 14 caps in the next game, with Denmark playing Finland on Sunday.
