Leeds United loanee Hadi Sacko has revealed he wants to stay with the Championship side after impressing this season. The 22-year-old is currently on loan with Leeds United from Sporting Lisbon, but transfer talks are unlikely to be straight forward given the past record of the Portuguese giants.
The YEP have reported on comments Sacko made this week when asked about his future with the English side. The attacker said at the moment he’s more than happy to remain with Leeds United, but realises he still has a long time to go on his loan spell.
Sacko confirmed his agent is still speaking to Sporting Lisbon with regards to updates, but the player revealed he’s just concentrating on his football.
“At the moment I want to stay no problem. But one year is long. My agent, he speaks with Sporting sometimes but me, no, I don’t speak with Sporting. I’m just focused on my new team,” said the Frenchman on his future.
With Sacko putting in some good displays for Leeds United since arriving in the summer, but a getting a permeant deal done with Sporting is likely to be difficult. Since Bruno De Carvalho took control, Sporting have become notorious for being a club that are difficult to deal with in transfer talks.
Massimo Cellino up against Bruno De Carvalho would be something of a battle, and may get quite entertaining.
