On Friday, we published a piece reporting Leeds United’s visit to Braga, as they watched the Portuguese side play Rangers in the Europa League on Wednesday night.

Now it looks like the Elland Road side have kept their emissaries in the North of Portugal, and this time they’ve seen Porto’s clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

It’s newspaper A Bola who reports the Whites’ visit to the Estádio da Dragão, in a long list which included scouts from several European countries.

Porto needed a win after their 2-1 loss in Germany, but things went badly for the home side. Bayer Leverkusen scored three goals before the Dragons could even react, with the match in Portugal ending 3-1 to the Bundesliga club.

So it’s been a disappointing night in case Leeds wanted to see someone from Porto. The one player from the Dragons actually praised for his performance was goalkeeper Agustín Marchesin.

It’s not inconceivable that’s a position Leeds look at in the summer.

Still, it sounds more like Leeds had a chance to have their scouts doing a double Europa League shift, and wouldn’t miss the opportunity to watch such a game.
