Leeds United are in the picture to sign Mamelodi Sundowns’ Khuliso Mudau, according to a report from South Africa.
The right-back has been with the South African side since 2020 and has been a regular for them, making 133 appearances so far.
Leeds would have taken notice of his performances if a report from South Africa’s Soccer Laduma is to be believed.
It’s claimed the 29-year-old has ‘attracted the attention’ of the Championship side and the source makes it clear this is their own information. The report also points out the South Africa international was linked with a move to Burnley in the past.
Mudau’s compatriot and former Crystal Palace midfielder, Kagisho Dikgacoi, has backed the player to make a switch to England.
As per Transfermarkt, the South Africa international’s deal at Mamelodi Sundowns lasts until June 2025 and he’s currently valued at €1.4m.
This would be affordable for Daniel Farke’s side, but it’s not made clear whether they are willing to make an offer for him in January.
If Mudau doesn’t sign an extension, the Whites or another club can sign him on a free transfer next summer.
