Leeds United are showing an interest in KV Oostende midfielder Andile Jali, according to claims in the Belgian media. The South Africa international is keen to find a new club this summer, which has been confirmed by the player’s agent.
Voetbal Primeur have today reported Leeds United are monitoring the situation with Jali after comments his agent made yesterday. With Jali’s desire to leave the Jupiler side, the club’s leaders think it would be best to let the player go.
Speaking to Times Live Mike Makaab said it’s always been the intention of his client to move to a bigger league after just two seasons playing in Belgium with Oostende.
“It’s always been our intention‚ and his intention‚ to move him to a bigger league in Europe‚ although the Belgian league is becoming quite substantial in itself‚” said the player’s agent.
The Yorkshire club are said to be ‘particularly’ interested in signing Jali, but Voetbal Primeur says they need to sell players first.
Leeds United have been busy in the transfer market this summer, and this week they made their 9th and 10th signing of the transfer window.
Earlier in the week the Championship side came to an agreement with Liam Bridcutt, whilst today it was confirmed Pontus Jansson has joined on loan from Torino.
