Galatasaray’s Kerem Aktürkoğlu has ended up on Leeds United’s transfer agenda for the winter market, according to a report from Turkey.
This season, Aktürkoğlu has been used on the left wing and as an attacking midfielder, where he has managed seven goals and eight assists from 27 games. His form seems to have caught the attention of other clubs, including Daniel Farke’s side.
Fanatik have a report on the 25-year-old and Sacha Boey, and say there’s ‘great interest’ in these two players. Leeds and Lazio are named as interested parties for Aktürkoğlu.
It’s said the English and Italian clubs have ‘frequently contacted’ Aktürkoğlu’s agent, ‘especially in the last two weeks’.
The report adds this has seen the Turkish champions already take precautions. They are second in the table, level on points with leaders Fenerbahçe. Galatasaray are fighting to retain the title and will also compete in the Europa League.
In order to achieve their sporting objectives, Fanatik state Galatasaray’s management and their technical leaders want to keep the Turkey international, amid interest from Leeds and Lazio.
Galatasaray have informed Aktürkoğlu he won’t be allowed to leave next month and that offers for him will be evaluated next summer instead.
