On Thursday, Gianluca di Marzio reported Leeds United have had an initial offer for Jaka Bijol rejected by Udinese.

The indication was further talks will take place between the two clubs and now, more hope is being handed to the Whites by the Italian press.

Friday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport reports Leeds United are putting ‘incessant pressure’ on to sign the centre-back and they their first offer was €17m.

That was put at €16m in an Italian report yesterday, so it’s likely a small difference in currency exchange method between publications.

Leeds United are working to beat major competition and want to sign Bijol as quickly as they can to avoid their attempt being hijacked.

Talks are ongoing, with Udinese currently aiming to earn as much as €25m from the sale.

Inter Milan are keen on the 26-year-old, but there is a lot of positivity regarding Leeds United’s move and their chances of success.

Bijol is likely to add a lot of experience and quality to the Whites’ backline, as he has been a regular for Udinese in the past couple of seasons and has played multiple times for the Slovenian national side.
