Earlier this week, reports from the UK stated Leeds United want to sign Flamengo’s Pedro. It was also reported the Whites are willing to insist on negotiating a deal after the South American club refused to entertain the striker’s sale in the summer.
This claim is relayed by Coluna do Fla who then provide their own information on this case. Their title states the Premier League side ‘dream of Pedro again’.
Within the report, it’s said Leeds ‘reappear with an interest’ in the 25-year-old. They are looking to bolster their attack and believe that Pedro is the ‘right name’ to arrive at Elland Road.
The Brazil international, who managed 29 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this year, is currently with the national team in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup. Jesse Marsch’s side hope to see him in action there for Seleção.
Pedro is a key player for Flamengo and the latter are not willing to let him leave unless they are compensated accordingly. The frontman’s deal expires in December 2025, and includes a €100m termination clause. His suitors, which include Leeds, need to spend big to secure his services.
