Leeds United have been handed a boost to sign NEC star Anthony Limbombe after claims in the Netherlands the Dutch side are under pressure to sell him this summer.

The 21-year-old looks very likely to leave NEC with the likes of Leeds United and Hamburg keen to sign the youngster.

SoccerNews have claimed Leeds United and Hamburg could look to move in on Limbombe because NEC risk losing him on the cheap next year.

The cash strapped Eredivisie side realise if they don’t sell the attacker this summer they won’t be able to maximise his transfer fee, and therefore may look to back down to Limbombe’s demands to leave the club.

During the last transfer window Limbombe informed NEC he wanted to leave, and was subsequently linked with a move to Leeds United and La Liga side Granada. Leeds United had previously tried to sign Limbombe last year, but failed with a €1.5m offer.

However, Leeds United face fresh competition to sign Limbombe following reports last week that Bundesliga giants Hamburg have joined the race for the Belgian forward.

Ligue 1 side Lille have also been linked with the player in recent months.
