After enjoying a good season with Sampdoria in the last campaign, Omar Colley has been repeatedly linked with Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window.
Club Doria report that Leeds United and West Ham have ‘great interest’ in the player, although it’s worth noting the Hammers seem to have ditched the idea and have gone for another player instead.
According to multiple reports in Italy, David Moyes’ side are close to sealing a deal for Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic, and that’s likely at least partly why they haven’t moved forward for Colley.
Sampdoria want ‘at least’ €15m for their player and so far nobody has come forward to offer that. Leeds United may be in a similar situation to West Ham, in that Colley is somewhere on their list but not a priority right now.
With no clubs yet coming forward with the ‘right offer’ so far, Club Doria explain that Colley could stay with the Serie A side, a situation that wasn’t expected some weeks ago.
