Former Leeds United forward Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been named in the top 25 forwards to play in the Premier League. The Dutchman made his name at Leeds United after arriving at Elland Road in 1997.
Four Four Two have complied a list of the best 30 forwards to play in the Premier League since its creation in 1992, and the Leeds United favourite came in at 25th, ahead of former Newcastle United and QPR forward Les Ferdinand.
Hasselbaink is one of three players to top the scoring charts with more than one Premier League club, and his 18 league goals with Leeds United during the 1998/99 season earned him the Golden Ball, along with Michael Owen and Dwight Yorke.
The former Netherlands international would also go on to be the Premier League’s top scorer whilst at Chelsea.
Hasselbaink signed for Leeds United for a figure of £2m from Portuguese side Boavista, and played 69 Premier League games, scoring 34 goals. However, due to a dispute over a contract extension he left Leeds for Atletico Madrid in 1999.
The Dutchman would return to England a year later when he signed for Chelsea.
