Bologna are the latest club to show an interest in Salernitana forward Massimo Coda, according to claims in the Italian media. The 28-year-old could leave Salernitana in the summer, and the player has also been linked with a move to Leeds United.

Ottopagine have reported Bologna could look to move in on Coda in the next window after the forward’s club failed to get promotion to Serie B. Coda was promised in January by Salernitana’s leaders he could leave the club in the summer if they remained in the second tier.

Bologna are subsequently looking to test their resolve with reports the Serie A side’s manager Roberto Donadoni is keen on Coda. The Italian club will have to meet Salernitana’s valuation of Coda, which is reported to be €3m.

Last summer it was claimed Leeds United made a last ditch attempt to sign Coda. Officials from the club reportedly travelled to Italy to hold transfer talks for the forward, but a deal never materialised. More recently there were claims the Championship side were still interested in Coda following comments made by his agent Beppe Galli.

Leeds United are likely to be in the market for a forward this summer, and Coda could still be an option.
