Earlier this week, Fiorentina came forward to sign Leeds United’s Jack Harrison in the winter market. The want to sign him on a loan deal until the end of this season.
On Wednesday, La Nazione indicated the winger would arrive in the next few hours. That didn’t happen because Daniel Farke’s side reportedly made some changes.
Initial claims stated Leeds United want a £15m (€17m] obligation instead of an option as part of the loan deal.
Two days ago, we covered claims from Italy that Leeds United have agreed for a purchase option. They were requesting around €15-17m, while Corriere dello Sport reported the Serie A side want it at €10-12m.
On Friday, TuttoMercatoWeb and Sky Italia both reported of an agreement between the Whites and Fiorentina. TWM quoted a €6m purchase option price while the latter said it’s at €7m.
The 29-year-old already arrived in Italy to complete his temporary move to Fiorentina. La Nazione, relayed by Viola News, claims the Englishman will sign his contract with the new club on Saturday. They say he will be wearing the No.22 shirt.
Leeds United expected to contribute to salary
Harrison currently earns €3m per year at Elland Road. This is quite high for La Viola, and the newspaper claims Farke’s side will cover part of his salary during his loan stay.
There’s no mention of a figure. This information is provided by Firenze Viola. According to them, the Leeds United player will receive a salary of €1m. This is likely from now until the end of the season and that should give an idea of what percentage will be covered by Leeds United.
Harrison played 443 minutes from 13 matches in all competitions for Leeds United this season. He failed to score a goal or contribute an assist, and now tries his luck in Tuscany.
