Leeds United director Sandro Mencucci was in attendance for Wednesday evening’s match between Juventus and Fiorentina in Turin.

This is reported by Fiorentina.net and further confirmed by Mencucci’s own Instagram account.

The match was the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final between the two clubs, with Juve winning the first leg 1-0. They won the second 2-0, and so eased themselves through to the final and the chance to defend their trophy.

There’s no indication on whether Mencucci was at the match in a personal capacity or related to his position with Leeds United. There’s not a big chance of the Whites signing a Juventus star this summer, unfortunately free-agent Paulo Dybala is likely out of reach.

Weston McKennie has been weakly linked to Leeds, but almost entirely due to manager Jesse Marsch being a long term fan. Regardless, he wasn’t available last night, having suffered a metatarsal fracture.

Mencucci was chairman at Fiorentina until his departure from the Serie A club in 2019.
