Noa Lang has had a difficult time at Napoli since his arrival from PSV Eindhoven in the summer. Leeds United have now come forward in an attempt to end his spell in Italy early, according to claims from close to the Serie A club.
In his initial days in Naples, the Dutchman was involved in a bit of a war of words with Antonio Conte. A lack of game time was a key reason behind all that, and things gradually changed.
Lang has now started three of Napoli’s last six Serie A games, assisting twice along the way. Despite that, his future is far from secure as his exit can hand the Italian champions some funds in January.
Conte is always eager to improve his squad, and Napoli are being pushed forward for multiple options.
AreaNapoli report Leeds United have now come forward and have made a contact for the winger.
The outlet make it clear that the Whites’ task is unlikely to be easy. This is largely because VfL Wolfsburg and AS Monaco have also made exploratory contact. All of the clubs should be able to cover the player’s wages.
Leeds United tentative for now

Lang currently earns €2.5m, a figure likely to be after tax, and this should be too prohibitive for Leeds United.
He scored 14 goals and added 12 assists for PSV last season, playing on the left wing. Interestingly, the Whites were keen before Lang moved to PSV, during his time at Club Brugge.
Napoli are currently considering the 26-year-old’s exit but would only want his permanent departure. If not that, they would require guarantees over a permanent exit in the summer.
It remains to be seen whether Leeds United can break through Napoli’s stance. Besiktas’ interest is also emerging, with Turkish clubs never missing an attacker in distress.
The report indicates that there could be more clubs in England interested but everything will hinge on Lang’s final decision over an exit. This looks a deal which is possible, should a club charge forward.
