Michy Batshuayi has a year left on his contract at Chelsea and the Blues are looking to find a solution for the forward this summer.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Chelsea have ‘offered’ the Belgium international to Leeds United.

The 26-year-old has dropped further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge after the arrival of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.

It’s claimed Frank Lampard’s side ‘definitely want to get rid’ of the player, but ‘it’s not going to be a cheap operation’.

The west London club, however, have accepted they will not be able to fully recover the €40m they invested in his signing.

Batshuayi’s best football came at Marseille, where he played one season under Marcelo Bielsa’s guidance.

HLN state the Whites management are now considering whether or not it’s worth investing €25m or more in signing the player who will turn 27 in October. ‘Everything is yet to become concrete’.

Batshuayi loves being in London and therefore, it remains to be seen if he’s willing to join Leeds, should Bielsa’s side decide to go ahead and invest big in signing him this summer.
