Leeds United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Nantes forward Yacine Bammou following reports Toulouse are looking at other alternatives to replace Wissam Ben Yedder. Toulouse were expected to come in for Bammou after it was announced at the weekend Yedder would be joining Sevilla.

Tribune Nantaise have reported in the last 24 hours Bammou is no longer seen as the No.1 target for Toulouse, and instead they are looking at FC Metz forward Yeni Ngbakoto.

Yedder is set to fly to Spain today to complete his €9m move to Sevilla on a five-year deal, and Bammou was expected to replace the Toulouse star. Bammou is no longer in the plans of Nates coach Pascal Dupraz, and may need to find a new club this summer.

These latest developments will give Leeds United renewed hope of trying to land Bammou in this transfer window after being linked with the Morocco international in the past couple of weeks.

Due to Bammou’s situation with Nantes the Ligue 1 side are prepared to listen to offers for the player ahead of a possible move before the transfer deadline.
