Leeds United summer signing Hadi Sacko has revealed the first time he played at Elland Road he was very excited. Sacko joined the Championship side on loan from Sporting during the last transfer window.
Speaking to Radio Yorkshire, Sacko was asked about his first impressions of Leeds United when he arrived in the summer. The attacker said what stood out was how big the stadium was, and how close the fans are to you. The youngster also believes Elland Road is very special, and has a good atmosphere.
“My first time when I played at Elland Road I was very excited. It’s a big stadium, and the fans are very close and it’s very special. It’s loud with good ambiance. I like it,” said the Leeds United player.
Sacko signed for Leeds United on a loan in July, but has a massive €60m buy-out clause implemented into his Sporting Lisbon contract, which runs until June 2020. That’s standard for Sporting, who think nothing of placing colossal clauses on their young players, whilst paying wages which would come nowhere near to matching the valuation.
The 22-year-old has played in eight of Leeds United’s opening eleven league games, scoring one goal, and from his comments it seems he would be happy to make the move permanent.
