Leeds United and West Ham United could bring Nuno Tavares back to the Premier League, a month after Arsenal sold him to Lazio.

Arsenal let the 25-year-old join the Serie A club on loan last summer and his stay was made permanent in June.

The fullback had an impressive campaign with the Italian club, and that has clearly not gone unnoticed. It helped him make his debut for Portugal in November and also attract the attention of a few Premier League clubs, notably Leeds United and West Ham.

That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who state both the Whites and Graham Potter’s side like him and are monitoring his situation with regards to a transfer. The former Arsenal man is one of the most sought-after Lazio players and unnamed clubs from Italy are also in the picture to sign him.

Tavares’ contract expires in 2029, and Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito is requesting €20-25m to sanction a move this summer. Calciomercato.it adds Lotito is insisting at least €20m is needed to buy the player.

Daniel Farke’s side and the Hammers are in the mix, and there’s no indication of whether either are willing to pay €20m for Tavares.
