Anton Stach has been linked with a move to the Premier League since the beginning of this year. Originally, it was Fulham and West Ham United who were said to be considering the 26-year-old ahead of the summer market.

At that time the Hoffenheim defensive midfielder was valued at €15m and it was made clear that a move to the Premier League was very much something on his career agenda.

Leeds United obviously wouldn’t have been in the picture without securing promotion from the Championship, but they’ve now moved ahead of others and are on the verge of getting a deal done for Stach.

German journalist Florian Plettenberg reports Leeds United have now agreed personal terms with the player, something that wouldn’t have been too much of an issue anyway.

He then states negotiations between the clubs are ongoing and Hoffenheim want €20m plus add-ons, rather more than the asking price reported in February. Other clubs are also said to be interested, although those clubs aren’t named.
