Over the course of the past month or so, it has been made clear that Saša Lukić is a target for Leeds United in January.
The midfielder was part of the Serbia World Cup squad that went to Qatar, and yet Torino, where he is currently contracted, could let him go in the next transfer window.
Leeds have been said to be in the front row to sign him just a month ago, while the latest stated they were the club above all others after him.
Torino could look to capitalise on that, but they will not let him go for pennies, as made clear by TuttoMercatoWeb on Friday.
With 10 days to go before the start of the January window, they look at what business the Serie A side could do, and look at the Serbian’s situation.
They explain that Urbano Cairo, the team’s president, ‘aims to monetise a possible sale’ of the midfielder in order to hit another ‘monstrous capital gain’.
Arriving for less than €2m, his valuation and therefore Torino’s request is ‘between €15-20m’.
So, if faced with ‘an offer that cannot be refused’, the player could ‘really leave’, as his current contract runs out in 2024.
Therefore, if Leeds United do want Lukić in the coming weeks, they know what they have to offer, and are aware Torino are open to selling him.
