German side Eintracht Frankfurt are holding ‘concrete talks’ with Leeds United defender Robin Koch, but he is yet to make a decision about his future.

That’s according to Sport 1, who say the defender is ‘at the top of the list’ for the Hessians and they are ‘really stepping on the gas’ to make a transfer happen.

According to them ‘concrete and promising talks’ are already underway between the Bundesliga club and the defender, who is able to leave Leeds on a free transfer following their relegation to the Championship.

That’s due to a clause in his contract, which runs until 2024, and he finds the prospect of joining the project at Frankfurt ‘quite interesting’.

Sport 1 report that the defender ‘has not yet made a decision’ about what he will do next as he also has ‘tempting’ offers from clubs in England.

Frankfurt, though, have ‘attractive arguments’ in their favour as they are looking for a leader to add to their defence after losing Evan N’Dicka and can guarantee the Leeds man a starring role.

They’ve made it clear that they can offer Koch the chance to ‘mature into a defensive leader’ and potentially catch the eye of Germany boss Hansi Flick before the European Championships in his homeland next summer.

There is also participation in the Conference League, offering the player to showcase himself on the European stage as well.

Those two things could convince Koch that Frankfurt are an ‘attractive club and he should make them his next destination, with a departure from Leeds very much on the cards.
