On Thursday morning, we covered reports from Spain which said Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz was on the verge of being sold to Los Angeles FC.
The 21-year-old is currently having a loan spell at UD Ibiza, but given his wish to make the move, they were in no place to block his departure.
It turns out that in a new update from outlet AS, it’s now confirmed that his transfer is indeed pretty close.
The website writes that Bogusz ‘seems to have his hours counted’ at Ibiza as Leeds negotiate his future with an MLS club, and the Spanish side already removed him from the squad.
It’s said the player ‘was seen leaving’ the training ground in the morning before the club’s session, and is set to abandon the team while they try to avoid relegation.
AS doesn’t know exactly how much Leeds will make by selling Bodusz to Los Angeles FC. They did find out that there’ll be a fine for breaking his loan at Ibiza, and the Whites will have to pay the Spanish side over €100k for cutting short the loan spell before the summer.
