Bought from Ruch Chorzow in Poland for £90k in 2019, Mateusz Bogusz has just three appearances for Leeds United so far in his short career.
Most of his time contracted to the Elland Road club has been spent on loan elsewhere, with last season seeing him turn out for UD Logroñés before being sent to UD Ibiza for the current campaign.
Already featuring four times for the La Liga2 side, during which he has scored twice and assisted another goal, the young Pole was finally presented to the media on Thursday, where he briefly spoke about his time at Leeds.
Contracted to the Premier League club until 2023, Bogusz brought up working with Marcelo Bielsa, for whom he clearly has a lot of admiration, as he described working with the Argentine as a ‘pleasure’.
As for his time at Ibiza, the Leeds loanee hopes the time spent with the Spanish side can help him ‘a lot’ in his bid to turn out for Poland’s first-team one day, and he now has the chance to show the world what he can do.
However, he knows: “It depends on me, how I work, how I play. I hope that day comes, but the best thing is to work and we will see.”
