This week, we’ve seen reports from the Italian media claiming Roma were concerned about the fitness situation of Leeds United loanee Diego Llorente.
Since the player left the match against Atalanta in tears, it was feared that his injury in his left flexor would leave him sidelined for several matches.
It seems the full examinations on the Leeds loanee are still to take place, but Sky Sport (via Voce Giallorossa) already advances with some news on that front.
They claim that Llorente should be out for only two weeks, which suggests he’ll be back before the end of the season.
Roma’s biggest concerns had been regarding their Europa League semifinals against Bayer Leverkusen, which take place on the 11th and 18th of May.
So in case Sky Sport are right, then the 29-year-old should just about be back in time to help them in the quest for this title.
Llorente is loaned to Roma by Leeds until the end of the season, and by becoming an important player there, there’s a good chance the Serie A side will try his permanent move in the summer, which is what the Elland Road side were hoping for in the first place.
