Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca has shown a ‘total predisposition’ to staying at Real Betis beyond the end of his loan deal at the club this season.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who say the midfielder is ‘delighted’ with his start to life at the Spanish club after arriving this summer.
Roca joined Betis on loan this summer, becoming one of the many players to depart Leeds in the summer window following their relegation to the Championship.
He made use of a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave on loan this year, making the decision to return to Spain and join Betis.
He’s enjoyed a strong start to life at the club, quickly establishing himself as a key player under Manuel Pellegrini and very much enjoying life back in La Liga.
Indeed, he has spent much of this week speaking to various Spanish outlets regarding his happiness and the situation, something which has not gone unnoticed.
Estadio, say he has shown a ‘total predisposition’ to staying at Betis beyond the summer, despite the fact his loan deal doesn’t include a purchase option.
The newspaper says Roca feels important to Pellegrini and also ‘feels valued’ by the club, appreciating the affection with which his new teammates and fans have received him.
He is very much giving an impression of having been a player at the club for years despite only arriving from Leeds this summer.
He’s simply ‘delighted’ at how things have begun at Betis and has been demonstrating as much with his comments this week.
The question is whether a permanent deal can be done, particularly without a purchase clause included in the loan, although there has been ‘a lot of ground covered’ on that front to suggest a deal could be done regardless.
That is something Roca would seemingly welcome, having very much enjoyed his start to life at Betis after getting out of Leeds.
